Boutique family law firm, Pemberton Robertson, are reputed for their authentic no-nonsense approach, client focus, and efficient legal service. When Directors, Kath and Miranda, recognised their website had become tired and didn’t reflect the professionalism and vibrancy of the firm, they engaged Crux Creative for a brand identity overhaul.
Starting with their website, design a brand identity that complements an existing logo and captures the essence of the business—a settlement and client-focused family law firm operating with sincerity and empathy.
Balancing empathy with reality, we tempered a soft clean design with direct, heartstring-pulling imagery to create a visual identity that authentically represents the Pemberton Robertson approach to family law.

One approach to designing a brand look is to draw inspiration from the logo and build out the wider visual identity. The slimline, circular logo allowed us to leverage similar elements for the Pemberton Robertson website design in a way that was relevant to them. The use of circles added softness to tie in with their empathy, with overlaps to represent a client-focused approach and a bright blue to reinforce trust and the vibrancy of the firm.
As a part of their marketing efforts, we designed a series of targetted 2-page flyers that add value by providing helpful family law tips and useful contacts for people faced with family law situations. The page examples below highlight how we used the brand identity elements consistently to build familiarity with the brand and avoid eroding credibility.
To build brand awareness, Pemberton Robertson wrote a series of free eBooks to aid and inform people about the ins and outs of family law. Crux Creative designed both eBooks in line with the brand identity we established with the website design.
